Cricky!

I'm glad to hear everyone is okay.  From the looks of the picture it may well of been a-lot worse!

I have owned several Mercedes and have never crashed into anyone........

Funny that, Neither did I....in fact my premiums were very cheap, so the actuary must have thought different to that poster.

Maybe you need to try harder then, you're clearly not helping them live up to their reputation!

Gutting sorry to see this, glad the driver is ok

If it was me I'd get a massive poster made, stick it up in the garage and set about the repair work. That way when things don't go right the poster will give the motivation needed.

The person in this car was not so lucky he had visited the IMM in his Rover P5
a translated version A tragic morning along the Autostrada del Sole, where in less than half an hour, two terrible accidents have occurred at a distance of only 7 kilometers on the northbound lane in the direction of Milan. A man, a 76-year old English, was killed and four others were injured in a non-serious. The traffic along the northbound lane has been standing for more than an hour, while there took several to allow circulation to return to normal rhythms. The most serious of the two incidents occurred at kilometer 130, shortly after the exit of Reggio, before the Lands of Matilda. The protagonist of the terrible crash was a 76-year old English, whose initials are KM, who was in Italy to attend a gathering of vintage cars at the Mugello circuit, in the province of Florence. The man, a little before 12, was traveling aboard a real jewel of the British motoring history, a Rolls Royce for over 50 years, in the direction of Milan, and then return home. Just a love for vintage cars might have caused the disappearance of English, where the car offered very little protection from the accident in which he was going to be involved.

At kilometer 130 had formed a queue after the incident that had taken place at kilometer 123 about half an hour before. A lorry with trailer, carrying shipbuilding material, realizing dell'assembramento car slowed to tag along the row, the maneuver probably surprised the British driver, who, at first he tried to curb, then, given the proximity of the medium, he tried to move, steering to the left. The move, however, did not have a happy ending because at that very moment, in the lane in which English was incolonnando was another trucking, who was surprised by the difference sudden and has not had time to dodge, dabbing Rolls Royce, before continuing his run and also hit the rear end of the first truck. The vintage car was pushing so strongly to the new jersey concrete lane that separates the north from the south and the impact was tremendous. The car is rolled up on itself and the lack of airbag has made the impact even more violent. From now on the conditions of the 76-year old appeared critical, so that the hospital Maggiore di Parma was immediately sent the air ambulance, assisted by an ambulance from St. Hilary and un'automedica. On the spot was also attended by firefighters and police road north of Modena, who proceeded to run off, albeit with difficulty, traffic. English is dead in a few minutes. Instead only minor injuries to the driver of the truck that buffered the car.
