Iphone Problem

Basically at home i normally have full signal and 3G but today i went about 80 miles from home and didnt have signal for about an hour. Once i returned home i still didnt, ive reset the phone, turned airplane mode off and on and no luck... any idea? Cheers :P

Tryed taking the sim card out? & putting it back in?

Maybe a problem with your network?

Yeah ive been looking, most say to turn airplane mode on and off but it doesnt seem to help!

Restore the device, make sure you back the device up first and then restore it.
If this does not solve your problem then it is a Hardware issue, most likely the antenna.

which iphone is it? i know early ones and 3G's and 3GS's had problems with internal antennas. the first thing i would try is a restore though

It might just be the signal in the area, sometimes my phone loses signal for a few hours in a certain place and then it comes back. Leave it over night and see what happens.

my phone goes funny when it looses 3g and network, goes into searching mode for ever, leave it switched off for a while.

 

have you installed any new software today?

 

 

are you sure its the phone and not the network.

Its a 4S, I havent installed anything and normally my signal is fine, ill leave it a day or 2 as the network could just be down i guess :P

If iPhones lose signal for a while, they need turning off and on again for it to start actually searching most of the time. I don't k ow why, I assume its an attempt to save the battery.

Have you recently installed the latest update? iOS 6.3.1 or something I believe. Updates can unsettle things for a while.
