would a pre 1992 heater fit in a 1993 (L reg) spi?

How "Pre-92" are we talking? The heaters have changed a bit from 1959. Any pix or exact year?

First off what's the problem with your heater?
I have a SPI (1993 Lreg) and replaced the matrix on mine about two ago. Easy job to do.
This is what you want.
