Just read this, looks like a stub tailed willy - haven't seen one in the wild before.

Guess the mad ideas come from the local water we all drink (or maybe the Voddy and coke ;D )

Looking good though.......

To this.....Attached File  chop pickup.JPG   191.97K   21 downloads

OK, so it's going to be easier just to do it rather try to mock it up on the computer (damn technology)

Give me a grinder and a welder any day ;D

Not much happening at the moment should do some engine work this week , i did source some 7 x 13 mambas not to shabby for 60 quid need new tyres though,  IMG_0591_zps6b91d7c8.jpg , i did source some stainless one piece big valves out a old slark racing head, they are 38 inlet and 32 exhaust,1620808_10151833424172443_193507276_n_zp

1622603_10151833423982443_644264503_n_zp, 1526933_10151833424092443_1430218061_n_z

the inlets are actually two big i have been told, so going to use some 36 mm inlets out a big valve metro head, and also may have to make some offset exhaust valve guides which could be interesting :) more updates soon.

Did some engine work today, stripped the clutch down as im converting it to a RTS clutch,, tapped out the holes were the old rivets go IMG_0624_zpsbdb0715b.jpg, IMG_0625_zpscda25836.jpg, goodies arrived :) IMG_0628_zps41af5730.jpg , fitted the turbo crank with the new bearings and used plastigauges to check the clearances,  IMG_0629_zps89edf80d.jpg, the clearances were perfect,  IMG_0630_zps57c43ca5.jpg, IMG_0632_zpsbad1b820.jpg, fitted the rod bolts , IMG_0633_zps30b13e5d.jpg, and fitted the omegas :) IMG_0634_zpsb5c32de4.jpg.i also checked the endfloat with the dti and that checked out fine ,

over and out

done some more, removed the vale guides, and done abit more work on the cylinder head , 1620955_10151860570902443_964349441_n_zp

, i also milled of the top of the standard centre cap in order to fit the steel centre strap, 1888759_10151860571017443_747630504_n_zp, as you can see i also fitted new cam bearings , pulled them in with custom made ally cups and then with a new standard cam and abit off eng blue scraped of the high points and polished the bearing until all high points were gone and the cam moved free by hand. progress is pretty slow as doing a degree and have a 3 year old and a baby, but its getting there :) over and out
