My other hobby apart from restoring classic cars is collecting old Corgi toys from my childhood. Here is the rarest of all the Corgi Minis. Its the Corgi 349 Pop Art. Mint and boxed you can expect to pay up to £6000  O_O Yes £6000. They are the holy grail for serious collectors. Look what I have

Cool car!

I was gonna post the same thing as above though.

Restored or not, that's basically like saying the original box is worth £5970! SERIOUSLY!?

I'd love to see an auction where one has actually sold for that much. I find it amusing people who value these things.

I like to think its worth whatever someone in each circumstance is willing to pay for it, but I would be impressed if its as much as that.

Your correct with your answer. Restored ones can make a few hundred though. Here is a link to what Toymart Prices are as of today.

This is only a guide and believe me collectors will fight to the death for a Mint example in a Mint box.

I've never seen one of those go for £6000. One was in auction last month and sold for £3000, which is the highest I have seen one go for. In the last 10 years I've seen about 10 of them sold and the average price is around £800 for unboxed and £1500 for a boxed one. For them to command a high price they have to be in exceptional condition.

They ones on Ebay are reproductions as are the boxes.

And by the looks of it from the pictures the OPs one is also a repro, the box definitely is as the wear is very clean. The decal colours on the model look wrong, the grille has poor definition and the silver looks hand painted and not sprayed as per the originals.

To see the results above click on the link below and search in Previous Auctions.

The box does look too new to me, I'm also calling his bluff.

By the way, that's not the rarest.

It's this. I've only seen two of these come up for sale in the last 10 years. This one was sold a few months ago. When you add the buyers premium and the VAT on the premium it was just shy of £3000. It's unboxed and not mint. If Mint and Boxed I would guess you could add another grand or two.

Here are a few more close up pictures for you non believers out there. I can assure you my Pop Art is 100% genuine and not a repaint. I paid £2,538 at SAS auction house last November without the box. You are correct though in saying the box is a copy. I very much doubt there are many genuine ones around. I do know my stuff as ive been a dealer and collector for over 25 yrs. Have another look.
