Hello to all.
First of all, I have to say a great forum and some excellent looking cars.
I have been looking to purchase a mini for some time after owning one as a youngster. Just turned 40 and as a gift, my parents, brother and wife brought me one. Very happy.
It had been standing in a garage for some time. 10 years I think they said!
As a result, it needs a little work. I can do a lot of it but will need to get the sills done. The drivers side has rotted through. Wouldn't trust my welding on a structural item like that.
I am based in wigan. Anyone used a welder/garage in wigan or surrounding area for their mini

There are a few of us in this neck of the woods so you shouldn't be too lonely.

 

Don't get coversills fitted! Or "wide" sills or any other bode of that nature.

Thanks for the response and welcome.
My mini is a relatively new one. C plate mini Mayfair 998.
Will take some pics and try and upload.
I remember about the cover sills from when I had my last one. Garage put them on but they didnt last so long.
That's one of reasons I asked about local garages who deal with minis. A normal garage will just take easy route.
