Did you get one?
I have the 2.4 159 - it's a beaut!
Bean, have you had any issues with it?
The brera is basically a shortened 159 anyway!

The EGR & DPF is probably the most common thing - but then, that's the same with every diesel anyway, isn't it?
The only problem I've had with mine was the power steering pulley sheered off - but I think that was just unlucky!
Other than that, I ADORE it! I mean - I really do love it!
I love looking back at it in a car park! I love getting in it and snuggling down into the biiiig leather interior .. I love the way it lights up like an aeroplane inside.
Buy one. You'll never regret it!

I'll be having it mapped, so the DPF will be coming straight off! :)
Sounds good. Like the 159's as they're a bit more practical...but i'm in love with those brera curves!

If you get a diesel, check the oil every hour. Friend of mine had one & had to have a new engine due to it consuming oil so fast, luckily it was done under warratee & FREE

We went through quite a few Breras for a film a couple of years back. if you absolutely have to have one, please please, never crash it. Not because I couldn't stand to see it hurt, we trashed a number of them. It's just, they don't crash well.
At all.
They are Alfas, and built of tin foil. I've never seen such light collisions result in so much substantial damage, and not just to crumple zones. A wheel shouldn't shatter in a 20-30 mph crash. The whole car just sort of bursts.
Oh and if you have any possessions you like, never put them in the boot. You may never see them again, the boot release is a traditionally Alfa style electrical part.

I'm off to Hitchin tomorrow to look at this bad boy:

Only popped up online this morning! <3
Black and Red are the typical Brera S colours. And the wheels are typically grey. I've never seen this colour combination before. I think I'm in love.
And an insurance quote of £474 with only 2 years NCB is more and more attractive!

Mine's in for an oil change and diagnostic report at the moment!
