All depends how well the car has been maintained. I've driven mine from Southampton-Manchester, Exeter, London many times with no problems.

Just in case I would get breakdown cover as suggested above. I'm with Asda Breakdown. They are the best in my opinion because you get full nationwide recovery for £70 and they accept ANY age of car, unlike most of the so-called specialists.

Enjoy!

Yes i would say the same if the car has been good for a couple of days go for it !
Im currenly in a eurotrip in my mini and its the best for parking and meeting people (ramdom people take pictures of the car ) so far i covered more than 4000 miles most highway
Which i think is better to drive long distances at a steady pace than driving it in a city where there is more stop and go

I regularly drive 600 miles odd from plymouth to norwich and back absolutely fine. Once drove 12 hours to fort william and then back a few weeks later. Just regular servicing which it sounds like you're doing. I'll admit though it's not the greatest motorway cruiser.

If your going around September, knowing the weather, it may rain so I would personally invest (if you haven't already got one) in one of the distributor covers to stop any water reaching the distributor and making the engine run rough as that can cause problems. Or at least, a fingertip-less marigold and cable ties!

That is of course worst case scenario, but it's all about preparation on longer trips.

My old gt passed its mot on a friday and i drove to bournemouth on the monday something i new nothing about til the sunday :) i then went from there to lands end and newquay in a round trip. It'd definitely do-able just take it nice and steady and have plenty of breaks if needs be :) you'll tire before the car does i'm sure! :)

300 miles per trip leg... As long as the car is in decent health I see no problems with that... And here I am looking forward to mini meet next year which will be a 2400 mile drive one way and if I go I am going in a mini...300 miles sounds like a day trip comparatively lol

I drove from Birmingham to Croatia and back over 7 days a couple of years ago. Was a standard SPI and performed well without incident. It's should be fine as long as it is well maintained.
