as for the bonnet springs. change them to pins or Leather straps.  or do what i was going to do and put that really nice GRp bonnet on with the newer cooper duct.. looks bloody sexy.. just never got around to it.

It's a lot of stuff for the price, that's why I'm considering it.
It has buckets which ill eventually want, a nice engine and so fourth
I've just got see if its worth the drive, and the money ill have to spend sorting the body out.

I'll get back to you shortly, of course don't wait on me if anyone else offers, I just have some thinking to do

I think it's a great purchase, if I didn't have this A4 tdi to sell first, I'd be down to see you. Fully appreciate you have the MR3, but would you fancy a trade with some cash your way?
