Anyone in North Wales (or near by) fancy a spot of classic car spotting with a bit of competition thrown in should make the effort to go and spectate on this beauty of an event.

 

Superb location with heaps of scenery to be enjoyed....oh and loads of nice old cars.

 

Usually have a fair amount of different cars....from Mini's, to Porsches, through to Escorts and everything in between.

 

We've entered in our Clubman, so if anyone's about, come and say hello and if you are spectating on the special tests please try and get some good photo's and post them on here. 

 

Did a similar write up on the Tour of Cheshire 2013 earlier in the year and got a good few of you involved so lets see if we can make it happen again.

Ok so just had a look on www.britishrally.co.uk to see they have published a provisional seeded entry list for this event.

 

We are seeded 58 out of 75 so we seem to be making a move up the seedings which is great...but slightly unnerving at the same time.

 

2 weeks til the event and need to crack on with prep and decide tyre choice and combo. There is a fair amount of work to do on the car and get some regularity practice in too as it's on these tricky bits of historic road rallying where the proper points are won or lost.

 

Anyone fancy a bash at spectating let me know and I can probably have a guess at some test venues.

Just had a look at the seeded entry list and I see there are 9 mini's competing so reckon there is some interest to TMF'ers.....also the famous 'Orange box' mini is competing.

I read on BRF that at provisional results a Mini had won, don't think it was Dave's one but wondering how you got on...

Just had a look at rallyroots and they were 26th overall and first in class
Very well done both , great result! Still thinking of using the mini on the roamerlight? Lol

Hi guys.

 

Yes it was a mini that won......An Irish crew (car 6) came over and showed the Escorts and 911's how it should be done!!!!!  Very high standard of crews doing this event and fantastic that a mini took top honors.

 

We did indeed finish 26th O/A and 1st in class.  Made a couple of silly errors that cost us 6 minutes and would have seen us up to 17th O/A and 1st Novice crew too....but can't have it all your own way eh?  Seeing as it is only our second event (of this type) we are both very happy with the final result. 

 

Full review on its way with loads of nice photo's.
