3 Words : I, HATE, RAIN.

Not only is my mini leeking like a rusty bucket all ready, Good thing I took all the stuff out of the boot when I did, go to put a box of C**p in the boot this morning to find a hhuuuuggee lake in my boot! :(

Get in... Try the radio... Nope, dosnt work. Remove radio, tip it on one side... Yep, water damaged again. Thats going to be sat at home by the rad tonight... Poor thing. Anyway...

Driving to Uni, I come up to two round abouts, Drive round the frist one, fine... holding nicly, I come round the next one and wwoaaa!! Big puddle! :( Before I know it, Ive hit it and the rear end comes out. So, turn the wheel to bring the rear back in... *Turns wheel - Nothing happens* Waaa!

I didnt hit anything, thank god... But I did end up facing the other way to a rather beumsed lorry driver who was behind.

I love my mini... but I hate it when it rains... as I know somthing like this happens! Spun out in snow, aquaplaned in the wet and over heated one engain in the summer! :ermm:

Thats your problem! Falken tyres, I found they were rather rubbish in the wet.

I found myself heading sideways in an alarming fashion this morning on the Aston Expressway. I was slowing down gently, as I don't like rainy conditions on that road anyway, and I just felt it drifting...

Not a nice sensation!

Unlucky about your leaky car though Volf.

I know what you mean, the tires are pants on my Rover 400.

It aquaplans, steps out and spins like mad in rain. 110bhp standard from the engine, it keeps spinning from a standstill (junction say) upto mid range 3rd gear unless u keep blipping throttle.

Falkens served me good when they had plenty of tread... But, even within limits, they started losing traction in the wet after a few months. I switched to Yoko's, and the car stuck to the road like a sticky thing!

(Disclaimer: my experiences only... other people have other experiences!)

ive never had that problem at all! Im on 12x5.5s and have pirelli P3000s on the back and the classic "Camacs" on the front lol.

Camacs are wicked, they are cheap and do wonders lol.

Agreed about the Camacs. I had them for years on my first mini. Drove it in all weathers and never had a problem. 1st set of Falkens I had I noticed straight away they were a bit 'giddy' in the wet. Now got Yoko A008's but not had chance to test them out yet !

A lot of it is down to driving style and experience as well as other components on the car.
