Daft question, sorry still learning... but how do you remover the black switch end from the heater slider in the photo below? I'm trying to remove the little panel that says "car/screen etc" but I dont want to break anything

Not too sure since I have never done one but have you tried twisting the handle off and then sliding panel over it?

Carefully   clamp(pliers) on the control arm,and pull

I had a go at pulling the one off my heater panel with no joy. I think there is a little clip inside the knob you need to release. Maybe an ice pick and a mirror will help here.
