I think the thing i miss the most is playing outside with the sibling (younger sister). Making tunnels in the long grass in the fields behind our house and then running inside crying our eyes out when we had crawled into nettles. Making dens out of a tree or abandoned farm yard equipment. Going to the shop on a Sunday morning for fathers newspaper and buying 10p worth of sweets (which seemed like loads at the time) then eating them before we get back home so the parents dont find out.

Then i got interested in meccano or kinex which ended up with various bits being thrown out the window in anger but i can remember my sister and me building some awesome robotic thing that would fire foam bullets at the intruding parents. Now all i know is she lives in Edinburgh working her socks off and i'm several hundred miles away doing the same thing, we have no time except Christmas or birthdays to be siblings again.

Ofcourse i won't ever tell her this

And i'm not sure it's been said but I MISS SCHOOL! I think, secretly, we all miss it, whenever i meet up with my mates all we talk about is the school days and how we remember that time Tom fell over a road works sign. Wierd how all the early good times happened without a drop of alchohol.

I might buy some kinex tonight

Kieran

My sister accidentally knocked me out a tree when I was younger and I fell into stingy nettles! I was covered in bumps all over :(.

Ouch! Tbf, me and my older sister gave each other equal amounts on injuries when we were younger haha. She taught me how to ride a bike by pushing me down the biggest hill with no stabilisers!

That's the way to do it. My youngest older brother is 6 years older, then 8 then 10, so never really had that sort of relationship

Toys r us (when the toys were indestructable)

Decent weekend game shows that you actually wanted to & got excited about watching such as smtv live, Noels house party, Crystal maze, fun house

When smarties had additives in and actually had flavor

Actually going out to socialise rather than being on as i call them ''anti-social networking sites''

Chomps (the size of a mars duo) & only 10p

Refreshers & Nerdz

The list is endless I'm a 90's kid at heart :P

I couldn't agree more!

I miss the times when it wasn't all about computers and phones, and to ring someone you use to go to a phone box or something..

When Ribena actually had sugar etc in it and tasted so good!!

When the world didn't go nuts about food warnings like salt and sugar etc

When Christmas was actually exciting and couldn't wait to get up and see the presents

When playing out was actually safe.

People actually answered their doors on Halloween

I've just come back to this thread after a while, and after reading back a couple of pages - I now need therapy.

THE MOOMINS - who mentioned those?!  That was the most weird trippy cartoon ever - Obviously written while on acid.  It used to scare the crap out of me haha

Chopper Bikes

:shades:

You are clearly and old git!! :P

I wasn't old enough for a Raleigh Chopper, I could only just manage its little brother the Raleigh Tomahawk (Which was the smaller version of the chopper, but without the crossbar mounted gearstick. Which meant that you still stood a chance of fathering children in later life, when you braked too hard!)
