I have never been sure on how to have my mini. its always been a bit of a mish mash, on seats, dashboards etc.

I now have decided to go on the route of making it weigh less :P

so im thinking stripping back seats, taking the music system out, LED's, leather seats, carpet, everything.

i have in the past put loads of flash tape

it works magic, its on everything, the doors, the bulk head, everything. its bloody quite in there, although its not anymore because of the weber box LOL

i would be keeping the roof lining, and i think, thats it if i was to do it.

so.... do you think ide regret it? >

So let me get this straight, you are planning on removing the comforts and having a boy racer style midlife crisis?

I say, strip it out. Put all of the interior in the loft.

Run it for a while until you get bored of being shaken to bits and coming home with bleeding ears then refit all the leather and carpets and smile! Thinking to yourself, why did I do that? LOL

Strip it out, another feature yours has over others is that its lighter, makes a hell of a difference

Does it really make that much different weight wise the stuff I would be taking out?

Too right it will, I suggest dumping the heavy seats and sitting on a pop crate instead

EDIT: use of pop crates to replace car seating may render your insurance invalid and could be dangerous (it also leaves diamond shaped marks on your bum if you sit on it too long)

As above you could keep all your interior in the loft just to tr it for now

LED'S dont weigh much if anything haha so you can leave bits like that and dump the seats, carpets, massive dash for a small one speedo binaccle and even drill holes in that! haha i can see this turning very obsessive very quickly O_O

the biggest problem is that i have led flashing tape everywhere, which will weigh a little bit, my biggest thing is for the speed and the petrol and stuff what do i do with that? because i cant have a centre one as i have a weber box in there.

a pop crate sounds comfortable at least with a cushion duck taped to it :P

You can get an older style speedo for the mini that has fuel, indicator and speedo combined into one smell guage, use the standard cable and i think that'l work champion and be light/compact

perspex windows aswell :o haha unless its a daily drive (which i doubt but maybe it is ?)
