if your going to do some track days or racing events then yer go for it other wise no real point in making your car more uncomfortable and less pretty inside if its going to stay a road car  =]

my mum used to sit on a pile of newspapers in her old mk1...probably not advisable though

Don't do what the previous owner of mine did and strip everything out to replace it with thick checker plate...doors, dash, rear seats, kinda defeated the purpose, seemed to be the in thing in the early 00s :ohno:

You can get an older style speedo for the mini that has fuel, indicator and speedo combined into one smell guage, use the standard cable and i think that'l work champion and be light/compact

perspex windows aswell :o haha unless its a daily drive (which i doubt but maybe it is ?)

i cant dude, cus of the weber box

and yes its a daily drive for now :P

well to be fair if anything all the standard mini's are a lot more uncomfortable that mine, i have tons of sound proofing, water resistant stuff, heat resistant stuff, theres loads going on :P

I have just sat and read through your entire build diary and after seeing all the effort you put into getting the interior like that, it just seems a shame. Especially when it looks so goddam good!! I love that dashboard!

sup to you though mate, but I would miss it if it was me.

Cheers

Ben

Strip it all out......

Go with style OVER comfort....

Then I'll not be the ONLY one to have a damaged backbone at all the shows...

Hmmm.... upturned crates...... will need to chop them down a little though....
