Hi all
Manynthanks for all the replies.
I have just got it running with a help from Tom and his dad. (metro racers).
The nooks of it was the fact the Lucas gold coil had fried the condenser, resulting in a bad spark, good enough to light the test lights I put on the plugs but not enough for a good spark.
The plugs were also wet and not producing a good spark, need to put them in the oven for a while to dry out!
So after changing the condenser, coil for a black 12 v coil and new set of plugs. It started and is running well!!!

So need to finally set timing using a strobe and go for a test drive!!!!!

WOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!

Thanks for all your input!

Chris

Dizzy is an aldon yellow without vac advance.
Head is at 11: 1 and STD 1275 mg metro pistons.
Building a turbo engine for next year with mega jolt ! Just got laptop and mega jolt set up and need trigger wheel and sensor to complete. This should be fun!

Aldon Yellow has 24degs max of mechanical advance ( info from aldon) so add that to your static and work out what you want max figure.you may not be able to run as much total advance on todays fuels as what you used to so 30-32degs max?
