hi guys got a 1977 mini fitted with a standard hs4 carb and im having some problems starting it even in this hot weather ive got to fully pull the choke out and even then it still takes its time to warm up and to be driveable was wondering does the mixture need to be more richer or is it somethink else

thanks

You usually need a leaner mixture in hot weather, but in your case sounds like its already too lean and needs to be richer

Try half a turn clockwise on the mixture nut and see how it goes

Does clockwise mean up or down?
