Afternoon TMFers

Driving to Wales next week with a few mates and I just thought i'd ask if there's any places you'd recomend checking out, things to see and do, bearing in mind we're all 18/19 year old lads!

We plan on doing a bit or urbexing and sight seeing while we're over there.

Cheers for any sugestions :D

The Abergwesyn to Tregaron road, known as 'The Devil's Staircase' is an awesome road. Drive it and imagine driving it at night, in the wet, as fast as possible, just as we did on the old Motoring News Championship Rallies in Cooper'S's, Lotus-Cortinas, Imps, etc.

Pendine sands early in the morning, would be great fun in the mini but make sure you hose the underside afterwards!

Everytime I go to Wales, I go to Portmeirion.

If you time it right, you can run across the estuary like Number Six, but beware the giant beach ball.

And Harlech is just down the road too.

If you would like a good pub meal with a view try the public bar/pub at Lake Vyrnwy hotel. There is a road right round the lake and at the opposite end of the lake there is a nice little narrow road which comes out at Bala.

If you are ever feeling flush and want to treat your other half, the hotel itself is superb!

What kind of area are you heading, we might be able to narrow down the suggestions.

I loved Rhyl as a kid, went again a couple years back and time hasn't been kind. I hope there will be some investment as its a great beach and easy to get to.
