In the process of swapping engines a the moment sooooo that includes changing the ecu loom etc  sooooo decide to upgrade the rest of the wiring.

Thinking of using circuit breakers instead of the old conventional fuse box ( s )..... maybe just make a panel of 6 or 8 up ....has anyone done this ? if so ...any tips or is it really straightforward ????

I've used them to wire boats. No problems so far. You can get ones to fit in place of blade fuses so you could fit them in one of the easily available blade fuse boxes. They're a lot taller than blade fuses though.
