It is, but it begs the question . . . Why?

Space is your enemy,
to do this properly you'll need two intercoolers, one after each charger.
Also to make the most of it you need to run a big turbo, basically you use the charger to make the engine look like about a 2 litre, then boost that with a big turbo,
you have to be carefull though, as the boost increases quickly, ie 5 psi from the charger and 5 psi from the turbo does not equal 10psi!

Is it possible yes, is it worth it no.
I'd imagine there's a lot of complex work that would need to go into making a twin charged system work effectively and even then I doubt it would out run a decent turbo only engine.

If you can find one, Nissan did a Japan only special edition Micra that had both.........

Someone did it on 16v mini club. They used a vectra throttle body as the switch over valve. It was in a brown clubman I think. Can't seem to find it at the moment unfortunately

VW 1.4 TSI.
Normally run in series with the supercharger blowing through the turbo and then the turbo taking over as boost rises.
As above you multiply the pressure ratios and also the efficiencies - so 5 psi into 5psi = 12.5 psi ish at the manifold but at very high temp because of the double compression.

Yeah, the march super turbo, MCM did a feature on it, bet they're hard to come by over here though!

I wonder if a bi-turbo system would be easier?
Too much heat i would say. An engine swap would be easier all round

yeas as above, 5 psi and 5 psi you'll see about 12psi at the engine, with 10 and 10 psi you's see in the order of 25 psi.

Also I have read an interesting hypothisis that suggests that if run Big turbo into super into engine....
the supercharger will provide the gas flow to spool the big turbo, which will then see the turbo as a restriction, in which case you will then get a pressure drop across the supercharger.... and get a power output from the supercharger pulley.... and also a temperature drop across the super charger.
Note I use the word hypothesis!

Uhm.....I think whoever wrote that hypothesis need to redo O level thermal engineering ology......

Indeed, did get me to thinking how much power per PSI you could get from a rootes blower if used as a "turbine"
