I would absolutely love to do one of these zcar vtec conversions ! If I had the money I'd be straight on it ! But simply can't afford at the moment :-( yours looks like it's going to be lovely by the way !!

just done the final (hopefully) order with zcars so there should be an update soon

will hopefully have gear change kit fitted, handbrake, steering coloum and pedal box mounted up this week and got an auto electrician coming to finish off the engine wiring and should be started soon!

small update

 

got the pedal box mounts welded in, and welded a type r stem onto the iva steering coloum so i could use a type r boss i had, which fits my sparco wheel

once i am happy with everything i will spray the raised tunnel properly

 

 

 

exhaust is on and engine bay is nearly there, coolant in and fuel is in, ready for the engine start

 

 

 

 

just need to neaten everything up a bit

 

 

 

cable run through is on, used 20mm stuffing glands for brake/clutch/accelerator/spare and using 25mm for handbrake cables and gear change (waiting for the packet to come) thanks to cpt kirk for the advice via his thread (if you use heatshrik on the smaller cable you can then get a good seal if it isn't big enough

 

 

 

and the front is getting there, brake lines, coolant and fuel is in, just painted the bracket for the fuel filter and need to sort out the wiper motor still

 

 

plan for this week is to get it changing gear, handbrake working, rear brakes on, rear brake pipes on and a few other bits!
