There always going to rust but new shells have reportedly required work before paint.. I would just get bare shell get it the way you want....(extra holes filled) panels modified where required. Roof cutters sortedetc) then speak to a local spray shop. Get couple coats of paint.. Or even por 15 from frost restorations... Then a top coat.. Looking about 3-4k before transfer any parts..

Would get subframe a powder coated..... And a stack of other parts. Like suspension arms etc.. Job lot..

And ll when engine is,out a clean up..

Looking about 10k, plus shell..estimate.....and we'll heaps of hours.
