heya guys

since the front brakes are apart on the race mini i was going to run some new brake lines and fit an adjustable proporting valve inline to the rears, i have cooper S discs up front and drums rear, not sure on what size rear cylinders i put in i guess they were std , drums all around ones, and not disc specific .

what im not sure about is the pressure at which the mini brakes work, i was going to fit 1 of these

which has a working pressure of 100 -1000psi, but was told by another mini racer that they dont reduce the pressure enough and that i should be using one of these

the next thing is if its best to use the valve from minispares then i will have to modify the orig one to the spec thats in the david vizard mini book, because the cost of that valve from the UK to NZ with shipping and exchange rate makes it rather expensive.

does any racers or people in the know , know whats the better thing to use .

cheers

kerrin

What you were told is true. I had the setup with just the proportioning valve and it doesn't work. The rear brakes kept locking up. I'm now saving up for one of these:

Expensive, but at least it's sorted properly then.
