Thanks tiger, i think i'll get new side covers

Dan, what does NLA mean?

NLA  -  No Longer Available.

Try a new seal first. if it still leaks get the bushes and have them machined to fit by a local machine shop.

I once knew of car which needed a bush done very quickly. The guy fitted a new bush and 'reamed' it with a flap wheel. I told him it was a very amateur way to do it, but he was desperate. The car ran without any oil leaks - he fitted a new seal - and was still doing so over 2 years later.

I'm not advocating doing this, but if someone is desperate it can be a 'quick fix'. Not advised, but in an emergency it can work.

I wonder where they found more of those, they haven't had any for months and neither has anyone else.  It appeared the supply had dried up.  I'm glad they are back though because I prefer to replace the whole thing myself.

Well that was easy, the hardest part was driving to minispares from Kent ;D

Dan I know what your saying and i would have changed the whole unit, as im a bit OCD, but found no movement at the pot joint (and times are tough in the ipod househould atm), and when i removed the cover there was no signs on wear/damage.

So fitted new seal and gasket, and torqued the bolts up by doing them oposing.

Now no leak :gimme:

So again to all of you, that commented and gave me your advice....thankyou so much
