Twas a bit chilly out there, but considering how bad the weather forecast was for today, I think we got off pretty lightly really (besides, it was a hell of a lot warmer there today, than it was at Brooklands this year!!) I'm assuming the weather put the concourse entrants off though, seeings as most classes seemed to have only one car in them! Did anybody actually stay long enough to see who of the three whole entrants in the entire show, won the car of the year title and the £500 cash prize??
I've never actually been to Stanford Hall before, had I actually realised that it's less than an hour from here, I'd probably have gone before! Pretty good show though, I don't think I've ever seen so many autojumble stands at any show ever!! My kids loved the bouncy castle, quad bikes and pic'n' mix stall too.
I'll definitely be putting that one in the diary for next year.

That was the dullest Stanford I've ever been to. I only went because I had to drop off some engine blocks and pick one up so I cruised down in my daily driver.
The turn out for the Polishing Contest was very poor with barely enough entrants to put at least one in each class. For me the car of the show would be the Lime Flower 1275GT with the Special Tuning kit under the bonnet.
There were also a lot of gaps in the trade area, and most of the stuff on the used parts stalls was just junk. I did get a Maniflow exhaust for almost half price, a barely used K&N Filter and a Hornet wood dash trim. I even helped Paddy Hopkirk stay warm by getting him to sign one of his excellent books.
The car park had about a third the cars in it than there would normally be, and the club stand area was also down on attendies.
Just shows what a horrible weather forecast can do, and it didn't even rain that much.
Also it must have been quite dull as I only took about 70 pictures.
Roll on Castle Coombe, hopefully it will be dull and wet there to.
Nice GT in the car park
Very nice mono-tone Cooper
A nice turn out of Innocentis
That Lime Flower GT

Who?
aha, so I got a pic of your car too albeit mostly hidden by the gorgeous Mk1 Morris Cooper S in frt.
I had a chat with some guys from Notts.About Mini's, I was particularly interested in the MonsterTruck conversions & the colour of the Candy Apple Red Mini
I have another pic of 'YAM' & a few more I didn't post; if anyone wants any original pics in glorious 18MP pm me your eMail addy & I'll send some on (preferably only pics of your own car pls. because I have a really slow internet connection & the files are HUGE) :)

Well despite the bad weather and turn out for the concours me and my son James had a good day a class win for his mini, and a fantastic photo of Paddy Hopkirk sat in my son James mini with him.I thought I would share this on here as I think it is a fantastic shot.
