what are the pros and cons of this 1.3i mini being Auto ??

i heard they all break because the transmission technology back then isn't that good

Bottom line, unless an auto is cared for, which means services every 3000 miles or so and not mistreated, then yes the likelihood is that the transmission will fail at some point.. This is not so much of a problem... the problem is finding someone who has the tools, skill and access to spare parts to recondition the unit...

 

You don't hear stories of manuals transmissions breaking because they are cheap to fix

 

I would say an auto is no more or less reliable than a manual, just the cost of maintenance which is different.
