Hi,

I've only owned my mini since august (82 city). Today was the first time I filled the tank and after a while I could smell petrol, I did some searching and people are saying its the breather. is it easy to sort out?

also tonight i was driving around for about an hour doing and sometimes when slowing down approaching round abouts etc the car would cut out. it didnt happen all the time but it was a bit annoying. any help would be great!!

thanks

Dave

the breather is a thin pipe which attaches to the top of the tank runs down the side of the tank and through a hole in the boot floor.

Open boot and feel around on top of the tank, if you can feel a rubber / plastic pipe make sure the other end is going out through the floor..

If no pipe fix one.

The cutting out could just be still not warmed up, try more choke.
