I'll get some pictures of progress. I'll also be wiring in a 12v & USB socket in the dash, which may interest some people on how to do it

I have a 93 Sprite im doing my CD player/ speaker install this weekend, so will get some pictures for you in you like.

I have bought a full dash, so my CD player is going in the center of the dash, Ive got 2 component speakers on the back shelf, and 2 6x9 mounted on a board going underneath the rear bench.

In terms of Wiring, you will find Ariel and CD player wire either hanging down in the passenger footwell, or behind the carpet like stuff the lines the shelf. For speaker, i'll be wiring those myself, as there is nothing present for speakers.

How did it go?

Well, a little more work involved than I thought to be honest, but all pretty simple, the CD player ISO plug was badly wired, so I ended up pulling all existing wire out, and starting again. running new power from the fuse box to the plug (I had to run a permanent live, and an ignition live, for my model of audio player), and an earth from the plug to the bulkhead. then it was just a case of running speaker wire from the correct ports in the plug, to the correct speakers. Luckily the CD player had instructions on what colour wire goes to which speaker. I did actually forget to take many pictures, but the dash is coming out again at the weekend, for a dial install, so let me know if you want any pictures of the work done

Good stuff. I just saw this post so if I'm not too late then I'd love a few pics of the work done.
