I'm still here, and am alright
just being busy trying to pull my engine. But with lack of space and help I've been struggling, it's just about ready to pull now. Then it will be getting the full works, a well deserved rebuild and new paint job.
Can't wait........

Not long had a Mini, 4 months maybe but look at all this stuff that has apparently been building in that time. it may be time for a clear out.
i mean how does it all fit in there?
Still pretty happy that I'm on the way to getting it on the road. just money holing me up now.
I need to get the tracking done as the guy before me has done something to the front end but i can work out what. i know that the wheels are pissed as i can see it and the steering wheel is at 15' from centre when i drive.
does the front end have spacers that can raise the body off the sub frame and move from left to right?
cheers

You got a thread for your car mate? Will have the engine out of mine one day but not just yet. Sounds like hard work.
No not yet as soon as i get a few more bits done and some more pics taken and i have the time lol, i will be starting a thread.
i took a load of pics when i first got the car back home but i have accidently deleted them so the earliest ones i have are at the very beginning of the strip down, but you still get a good idea of the amount of work to be done.
I have also set myself a deadline of the 20th September 2014 as that is the day im getting married and i really want to travel to my wedding in it.

God its been too cold, wet and I'm poor to be working on the car of late. I need to get a cone compressor, new cones, new brake lines to the rear and rear section on fuel line. its all money. I'm feeling the Xmas pinch.

The sun is finally out and it was as good a time as any to fit my hi/lo's. Or not, it turns out that what seems to be the original comes where still in the car from new.
So the cone and trumpet came away from the car alright.
But the cone didn't want to come off the trumpet taking the steel insert out of the cone.
This was the only one i tried to separate, before swiftly giving up and going on to mini spares to check out new cones.
Looks like I'm going to have to raid the piggy bank for this job. Iv not even tried to remove the front ones, I'm just going to get new ones, as I'm guessing that they will be the same.
