Does anyone have any cheap little ideas of how to make your Mini sounds now fruity and louder? I've heard Air Filters make a difference, but does anyone have any other ideas?
Thanks

louder? straight through exhaust (just remove silencers)

Drill large holes in the air box.

I've got a cone filter on my carb, gives it a nice noise imo, although my brother hates it :L I've also got an rc40, which sounds pretty nice and isn't too much :) Look for an exhaust about 2 inchs in diameter, imo they give the best noise when you give it the beans :)

If that's the case, then just take the exhaust off. It will run really badly but it'll be noisy as hell!!

Be aware that making your mini louder will attract the attention of the law. They are really clamping down on anti social exhausts.

A member in our club had his like that the once. His exhaust fell off so he took it off completely leaving the manifold on until he had time to fit it back on properly.

God it was like a bloody tank when he revved it up.

Mine fell off once. Had to drive 10 miles on just the LCB. I have heard quieter planes...

Or drill holes in the silencer.  I did that when I was 16, thought it sounded the dogs but in reality it probably sounded more like an asthmatic farty wasp  :teehee:

AN RC40 is about £40, which is a pretty cheap upgrade imo

Put some Slayer on the stereo, turn it up full and glue the volume control up - instant ear bleed!

If you want loudness, cheap, then drill some holes on your silencers.
