starting problem

hi all, i have got a strange problem. everytime that i try to start my mini it wont start first time it takes afew attempts. the strange thing is that this problem only happens for the first start each day, once it has been started once it is fine till the next morning when i want to use it ....... any ideas ?

What year is the mini?

Do you use the choke? :thumbsup:

its a 1987 mini and i do use the choke

i always use mine for the 1st start of the day. pull it out. foot down. turn key starts 1st time then for the rest of the day its fine.

Maybe the dizzy is getting wet..? I have half a plastic milk bottle behind my grille to keep it dry :thumbsup:

battery!!!!!!!!!!!!
had that problem when got drake, didnt help by fan belt was loose too :thumbsup: get your battery checked it may be loosing power over night, also clean/change your points that was another thing ththelped me on cold mornings

Yep, I'd say tired battery as well. Pretty much as minipip says above.
