I can't watch either video, but I'm 90% sure that '76 was one of the two years when George 'the driver' Polley won the hot rod world final, in his 105e Anglia. He can build an incredibly good mini engine, and has the mine. He also used to build all my ministox engines. Him and his 2 sons run a Yokohama tyre outlet. He's now into his greenlaning, even at 70!

Again I can't see the above video, but if it's of national hot rods this year, I went over to see 304 Danny Fiske, son of Derek, last night, whilst they were working on the his car, he is currently top of the points, in only his second year racing, in a very competitive class.

What a great vid, takes me back to my teens when I used to go regularly to Wimbledon for Hot Rods and Stock Cars. My fave hot-rod man was Brian Pedley in Mini number 9 from the West Midlands, he was really good. I have always hated Barry Lee, he has money coming out of every orifice and if he didn`t win he used to throw all his toys out of his pram, spoilt brat.

Barry Lee may not have had the money, but he knew how to sell himself, and could get sponsorship with the greatest of ease

Trust me, BL had money, he lived on Kingston Hill ( I lived in Kingston Vale at the bottom of the hill ) and you HAD to have money to live on that hill, it was very select.
