lol me too bud, i have my black mesh one thats going back on and you can see through that. its starting to to take shape now, I'm getting more and more excited now! for sure!!!

massive update happening lol

so update time! lol

sorry if i repeat anything lol as its been a long time lol....

so cleaned and hoovered to do some more painting

 

 

which didn't look to bad i didn't think :)

 

 

 

 

and with the stick in place

 

 

 

was quite happy tbf :)

 

cleaned up the boot again lol

 

 

then had attempt 2 with another loom this time on a 1996.. (note bag of wires lol)

 

 

on the fuse board i made DIY a haha

 

 

 

jumbling messs....

 

 

then i set to mend the sump which ide meaning to do ages ago, this was a pain as i only have an arc welder...

 

in the end i need up welded a piece inside and welded to that from the outside! lol

 

 

 

 

then lost the sump plug ahahaha

turns out my from brace bar is completely in the way despite being told it would a round nose let alone a clubman with far more room. so went about shortening that to fit plus i had to bend the front end outwards which i wasn't happy with, but needs must! i want a steel front! lol

then i sold this dudely dally, with much of my delight went in hours :)

 

 

so i took some more lol

 

 

then i got to move the car to my house woooooooo!

 

 

 

 

 

eyeing up the work needed on the mounts,

 

trying to figure a way of making it neat without using washers which you'll see later how i did that.

 

 

started on raving the scrap metal bin near work

 

 

back on the tyres...

 

 

offering up and measuring etc

 

 

 

then got more lol

 

 

 

 

 

 

and mocked up the clearance ahahahaha

 

 

happy with how that went i went for it :)

 

 

 

 

 

really happy how the hanger lines up etc it was a PEEENIS to align and weld etc lol

 

 

and how the tail looks..

 

 

 

then took a selfie with the 'king DICK' lol

mates mini was reverse into and didn't even leave a note ;(

 

 

started re-evaluating the rad clearance again

 

 

 

then put the damn door back on........the hard way lol........the really hard way a haha

 

 

tried the dashboard in with clocks in place sorta lol

 

 

then cleaned and re=painted the engine

then i wanted to start plumbing everything in so just took some pictures to do with that to help me in the long run :)

 

 

 

 

and FINALLY finished the mounts :) mega happy with them

 

used poly bush mounts, really looks nice i think :)

got the loom through the post so set round making neater and cleaning it all :)

 

 

 

 

 

and put it back in the box for now miles cleaner!

 

 

and got a free card with it loloolololol

and then started putting the wiring it and trying to hide the wiring as best as i could and as neatly with the budget I've got LOL you'll see in later pics how much tidier the engine bay looks now :)

 

 

and the inside so far at this point...

 

 

 

called it a day and took a pic or 2, note where the exhaust is in relation to the mug LOLOLOL

 

 

 

you can see much clearer in this photo where the wiring for the engine is going :) just heater and radiator pipes that is ruining the picture ahahaha

 

 

and of it went for the linkages and front end to be put on, which I'm quite proud of because although they did a bang on job, i came up with the idea! :)

 

 

and result!! front end on!!! no bolts showing from the outside as well :)

so went round putting the carpet and mats in, because well.. why not!!

 

 

 

 

 

and with some help my mate Gina put the infamous clevis pin for the clutch :) thank god!

 

and then took some pics :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

broke my coolant reservoir

 

 

and then tried to choose between my arches

 

 

 

but probs going to stay with the jigs maybe? i dunno we'll see!

 

the bodged my intake a haha just to get an idea what i need to do to fit something on there, which i still really don't know ahaha

 

 

finished my tank plumbing, at the back although i need to put a filter on there as well, which I've got, but not got round to doing yet

 

 

 

and underneath which ill tidy up soon enough

 

 

the battery cable is also plumbed in from front to back which is also a plus and earthed neatly and boot kit back in :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

in the mean time I've been putting a Weber kit onto my mk1 golf which is going well and that should be done in the next week :)
