A bike engine sounds really cool, would be pretty original (for a Lupo).

I have chosen the ZX12r for the torque at low rev's, this is going to be a daily driver so needs to be reliable aswell as very fast! Once the back is cut out and the front lightened further i'm hoping to have the car down to 400kg's. the floor and inner wing removal is huge, its practically half of the shell jumping ship!!this forums not completely vw free, i'm putting a gti lump in my mini

I heard that someone has put an Audi TT engine into one of these I think it had 225bhp must have been quick.
The problem with the TT engine is the weight, they are so heavy and thats not good over the front end, as you will probably know. this means its a straight line racer. these cars normally weigh 1100kgs at the minimum so thats 204bhp per ton. If i hit the target 400kg that will give my lupo (180bhp engine) 450 bhp per ton, and it will fly round corners too aswell, as trying to wheelie.
I hope!

i got it from new, it was a standard 1 litre but is now stripped, race suspension, brakes, drivetrain etc. caged, 2 seats/harnesses and the rest! It handles very well now just needs the power, and its getting lots of that!! may be too much for a small car but i believe in never having to much of a good thing. :'(I'd be really interested to see this! Is that the Lupo you've chosen? Looks nice already!
