just wondering if anybody had any information at all about JBL 494D? It is a works car that was driven by rauno aaltonen thats all I know

Here's the competition history for JBL 494D. It was sold by the works in 1967 so had a fairly short career. The picture you have postd is from the 1966 RAC Rally

 

01/07/1966 Czech Rally R. Aaltonen / H. Liddon Car No.75  1st overall,1st class, Manufacturers Team Prize

01/08/1966 1000 Lakes Rally J. Lusenius / K. Lehto   6th overall, 3rd class

01/10/1966 Munich-Vienna-Budapest Rally A. Fall / H. Liddon  Retired

01/11/1966 RAC Rally H. Kallstrom / R. Haakansson 1275 Car No.66 2nd overall, 1st class

It's a rally car so it more than likely isn't. It's owned by Adrian Boyd in a private collection

I think that was the car which was bought from BMC by my old friend Rob Lawrence. He went on to do a lot of rallies in it including Motoring News Championship rounds in 1969. If I'm correct, after I retired from the 1969 Circuit of Ireland Rally which I did with Jock Russell I then drove our Porsche 911 as a chase car for Rob and we got that car into about 7th overall at the finish.

If Adrian now owns it then it's in good hands.
