1992 SPi cooper

Engine removed running and refitted.

Good spark,
Fuel pump primes and you can see it spraying into the throttle body,
Checked all relays with my Crypton reader and all test fine.

Car tries to start but just won't run.
Help please? Never had this problem before! lol

Mate join the club check out my turning over but not starting thread, I would suggest as I've been doing at the moment is clean up all your earths then clean the connections on the starter motor and coil. Get a voltmeter see what your battery is doing also check this at the starter and coil ends. This is the point i'm at, I did get mine started after charging the battery however the day after mine was back to square one, hope you get your sorted too

Haha yeah I've been reading yours!
I've got mine on jump leads to my shogun to eliminate any battery issues. Adding an extra earth has improved the turn over but nothing else :/

And now it's doing the occasional back fire through the throttle body.
Any ideas?

Yeah I'm leaning towards timing now aswell. Trouble is that I havnt moved any timing bits so I can only think that I knocked the dizzy.

The dizzy should look like this at top dead centre for cylinder #1.
