I'm 19 with a stage 1 998 with alloys and driving lights. I pay 1100 with go girl. Through compare the market
What are driving lights?!
OP, loads of places insure with mods whatever age you are. I've got way more and I'm only a year older. I'm with Adrian Flux if that's any help. Are you trying to go through classic insurance or just mainstream stuff?

Good luck getting any classic insurance under the age of 21 Im a wee bit older, 22 and insured with Highway through HIC. Agreed value, classic car with limited mileage and all mods declared including engine swap to 1275cc (look at my thread to see the extent of the mods!) and I'm just over £400 fully comp cover for the year. One of the few things that get better with age.
It went down when i said I drove an Integra Type R as a daily driver amazingly enough. Guy said if I could handle that, a Mini would be easy. However i crashed the mini

Declare every single mod you have. Miss any out and you run the risk of being declined cover in the event of a claim. Plus any police stop can check to see if its all insured. If its not, hello fine!

I'm 19, only in second year of driving, so have 1 year NCB.
1275 with stage 1 kit, alloys with locking wheels nuts, 6000 miles a year, immobaliser, not garaged, **** post code, £1300.
Grahan Sykes, absolutley *******, wouldn't recomend them, but they're the cheapet for me by far! (for me anyway)
When I was 17 though, I had a 998 with ******* load of mods, £2500 cheapest anywhere!!!!! (still Graham Sykes)
Just shows how musch that years no claims makes a difference.
Hope this has helped, and good luck!

I'm 20 now, but was 19 when my insurance started. Actually thinking about it, since i've started driving i've never paid more than a 'bag of sand' for insurance!
Current mini is a 1275 Tahiti ltd edition, declared exhaust/intake modifications, uprated discs and pads, Bilstein shocks and red spot cones, fully adjustable suspension setup, internal roll cage, auxiliary gauges, stereo, spotlights, non standard arches... Jheesh there was loads of stuff. Paying around £820 a year, thats with Admiral i think, oddly enough found them through compare the meerkat!
