Minispares sell a very good quality 'Cooper S' forged rocker, they are about £8 each. I used these recently and they are very good.

 

If you need a tad more lift you can fit the offset bushes, but these need to be reamed accurately to size and the standard rocker pillars don't line up exactly.

I disagree

 

Minispares cooper s forged rockers. Notice the pad is no where near level compared to the valve top. I could get a 10thou filler gauge under the right hand side. I found the best pad on the "old" ones I had, that sat perfect

I would send that rocker back to Minispares and ask for a straight one! Not fit for purpose.

I will send them back but all 8 are the same so I can't imagine another 8 will be any better.

 

They also told me on the phone they are very poor quality, apparently a part they just buy in and have nothing really to do with.

 

They make the 1.5 rockers which I was told are very good quality, but I'm not sure if 1.5's will really suit my engine :-(

 

Need to sort something out quickly tho!

This must be a quality problem with more recent batches.

 

I have been using a set of the Minispares forged 'S' rockers from a couple of years back. I have just checked them and a couple have very slight angle on the contact face but nothing anything like as bad as your set!
