Well got another update on the car, and hopefully now into the final push !!! I am aiming for mot around mid March then tax 1st April as this car will be doing l2b run this year !!! first thing is tyres are on order i will be collecting a set of 4 yoko 032-R tyres on wednesday to go on my lp883 s rims. i also have a set of nos astrali 5x10 alloys on their way soon which i think will fit this car well and dont seemany cars with them on:

I have also picked up a set of wellers for sticking a set of track day tyres on for when i have a play on track in the car ! they are 6" wide rears and 5" wide fronts and just wants the fronts painting, but as these are not important at the moment they can wait until the car is done:

I have got a hold of a small fire extinguisher, as i dont have a back seat fitted i have mounted it on the rear seat back, but still within drivers reaching distance. The plan in time is to fit a full zoned system like whats used in race cars, but for now i have fitted the small one to be on the safe side:

A friend of mine had a set of gaz shocks spare which i managed to aquire at the right price, i have cleaned these up and fitted them, these complete the fully adjustable suspension. A friend of mine works for a racing team and for a bit of teapot money will do a full setup on the car for me which will include setting the shocks for me and tuning the car on the rollers once its been run in and the engine is done that is:

The final job to get the car running properly was to sort the cooling system, i have tried not to cut any corners in doing this. Before Christmas Mini Spares delivered a nice little parcel which consisted of a Herritage metal fan, which i am aware are noisy but i need to be able to keep the car cool so needs must, i also plan on fitting an electric fan to the inner wing, that is controlled by a switch on the dash, but this will come at a later date. I also fitted a pair of red silicone hoses using heavy duty Mikalor clamps, not only do i think that these look better, but i dont think the hoses will blow off in any hurry with this style of clamp. The final part of the cooling system came on Christmas day in the form of a full alloy twin core fletcher radiator !! had the car running and it sits lovely at a quarter temperature with this setup on:

My final job since the last update has been to finish off the wiring loom, this is now 90% complete. I have stripped out all the redundant wires, ran any new wires and wrapped the loom in split conduit. The engine bay looks loads neater for it and a lot cleaner. I have also done away with all the glass fuses and fitted 2x 4 way blade fuse boxs, this is just to add a modern touch to the wiring on the car and ensures that should a fuse blow i know blade fuses are much easier to get a hold of than the original glass type:

I have added a junction box into the battery positive cable, to allow 2 things really, 1x to allow easy fitment of aux feeds 2x provides an easy access jump start point, without having to remove the grille or empty the boot out:

Thanks for looking comments and advice welcomed as always !
