Cant wait to get the Sub's out the Garage to make room so i can start reassembling the Engine & Gearbox. Not sure what colour to paint the block yet tho ?????

BMC Green is at the top of my list but weren't the early 1275 Black ? Still fancy the Green i think. Mini Sports sent my reconditioned engine back complete with the large square Aluminium Rocker Cover. I'm going to call them today to see if they will exchange it for the rounded steel type to keep the engine looking a little more period. Dyeing to remove the plastic protection from around my new engine !!!!!!!! CHRISTMAS all over again. Still short of a phew bits, Distributor, Large Capacity Radiator,Hoses and Carburettor. Tho iv fitted a large Air Box to the Bulkhead to accommodate a Weber for now i think ill try and keep the build cost down ill fit a HS6. Finding one cheep enough is the problem as the service kit is £50 !!!

Happy Days !!! Found two HS6 carbs on ebay and there mine !! whoop whoop !

Quiet day at work so i sneeked off to the spray shop to get the mini Rolling.

All went well  ;D Trying to make the most of the four poster ramp before i take the mini home. The sprayer said its got to go as to make room for other jobs he has. Two jobs left to do tomorrow…..

1. Make and fit rear Brake lines

2. Fit steering wheel to the rack

Then its good to Go !

Hi James, i wish i posted something earlier with regards the HS6'S  :mmkay:

As iv already got a single manifold ill just be refurbishing  the one for now and once i have the Mini up and running on the road ill buy a Mainflow Twin Carb Manifold ( if funds allow ). I'm really trying to keep the spending to a minimum at the moment as the old Bank Account has had a right hammering recently. I feel as tho i should concentrate on getting the Mini on the road and fit the trick bits on when funds allow.

The Mini should be home by the weekend so i can make a start on the internal fuel and Brake lines along with the Battery cable. Once those tasks are completed the head screeching begins…….. Wiring loom & Dash  :ohno:  My biggest problem is i haven't got a clue to how i want the dash set out really. Buying a sheet of Aluminium will be a good start and then just go with flow with a jigsaw  ;D Arr well wish me luck !

Any thoughts/ideas would be really appreciated ! Thanks for looking !
