Glad you're getting stuff sorted slowly!

Thanks!

Things defiantly seem brighter now but all the work is very tiring!! There is just so bloody much!!

As soon as you think you are getting there you turn round to another lot of stiff that needs cleaning!! LOL

Cheers

Ben

Once the repairs are done and we move back in we can start saving to replace our furniture. We have decided to just buy a sofa bed to start with so we can have a sofa and a bed without having to buy both and then when we are able to, we will get a bed too.

I just want to get on with the Mini!!!!! Its driving me crazy looking at it every day and not being able to do some work on it!!!

Cheers

Ben

Little Update.

I have just bought a new mig welder with some of the donations.

It is second hand but quite a good one. It's a Snap On Mig 130 with a brand new auto dimming helmet, 2 reels of wire, loads of spare tips and shrouds plus other spare parts, a pair of decent gauntlets and a couple of cans of anti splatter spray. The bloke also said he would throw in any other stuff he had to go with it.

All for the grand total of £100 so i'm well chuffed  :D

So a massive thanks to TMF for making this happen.

Cheers

Ben

Did you get the girlfriend a new hair dryer then? I always sweeten the wife up with a little something before I bring a garage item home :)

We are indeed mate. Donate to the email address listed. So many people have been really generous, I've spoken to Ben and it's helped him a great deal, not only financially but mentally too I think, what a booster!

Hello everyone.

Things are still going steady at the moment but we are feeling pretty crap and low.

I think the reality is kicking in now and as things are taking so long to come together and everything is so expensive.

We had a quote to have our furniture and bagged up stuff removed this morning and that was £250! The bloke said it was a £400 quid job but after what we had been through, he would do it at a discount to help out a bit.

Even a skip is £225 and then we would have to load it ourselves and that's assuming that it will all go in one skip.

anyway, so far from the fund we have bought:

2 inflatable chairs

1 electric halogen fire

a second hand Mig welder (snapped it up while it was cheap)

Various bits and bobs.

So thank you TMF.

I will update when i get on with the mini. A lot of the remaining dosh will be spent sorting that out.

Cheers everyone

Ben

I wish you all the best with getting everything sorted

If I have any parts that you require for your build, I am happy to donate them
