Sorry to revive this old thread... Even made an account for this!

Everything you've described is exactly the same as the issues i've been having (water sitting on the bottom of door seal, no seals on check straps etc).

I've been trying for months to fix it! Did you ever manage to stop your leak? And what did you do in the end?

Ok so I found several problems. I removed the door cards and they are really bad, all wet. I don't have any plastic on there at all any more. So when I pour water down the window it just runs into the door and then out the door card. Not loads but enough to cause it to leak inside the car.

So can I buy new outer window seals and cure this? The drain holes are clear. I did however find all this sitting in the bottom of the passenger door.

What is that?

The drivers door is completely empty and with no plastic membrane either. So will suck tape up the holes and hopefully cure a bit of it.

The drivers door is also leaking because the top of the door at the front doesn't seem to sit snug. Where the door seal touches the door there's a gap, so water is just coming in and down the door seal. How can I fix that? Without getting new doors lol. Can I try bending the door or will I just end up causing more issues.

Not a very good picture but u can see there's a gap

You need to make up a tool as in diagram below from about 3mm steel bar by about 20mm wide then take off door seal put tool over flange and bend the flange in/out to get a good tight fitwhen seal is back on, hope this helps (Red bar = flange)
