I love the way this is going. This looks like a lot of work but to me it's better than chopping out the rot and welding in little patches. And your progressing fast too.

Did a bit of welding today and got the bulkhead, floor, heelboard and crossmember all as one piece.

First thing was to clean off the Ecoat and apply some weld through zinc primer to the joining sections

Then I got welding, I've got 90% of the spot welding done now but I am going to seam weld the structural sections for some added strength, mainly for safety as much as anything.

Hello, following your work with interest and I've noticed that the Spot Welding that you've been doing on the floor is obviously being done with a 'proper' Spot Welder, rather than the usual 'Plug' method that people use. Is it possible to show a picture of the Spot Welder that you have been using, as I'm interested to know how you've been getting to those difficult to reach areas like the middle parts of the floor ie. furthest from the edges. Is it an Industrial model with longer welding arms (like Longbridge workers and now BMH workers would've used)? Hope this makes sense..!

I got all the spot welding finished of at the weekend so I just dropped it out the jig to seam weld all the underside. Then I neatened all the welds and put a bit of primer on, just got the inside to go the same now.
