Insurance renewal will be here soon, I've heard some insurance ompanies deliberately give you a low quote in the first year, then wack it up thereafter.
What is decent for a Londoner with 10 years NCB driving a standard 998cc mini?

Or judging by the amount of NCB you have try the classic car insurers. Peter James etc.

Off the top of my head I had agreed value, unlimited mileage etc fully comp for £139. Although I'm no spring chicken.

I'm with FJ and have 4 classics on the policy, fully comp with unlimited miles but don't have agreed valuation and I'm about £130 per year

I would guess with that ncb you should get fully comp for 130 ish but it clearly depends on your age, agreed value and restricted mileage agreements etc.

I thought you couldn't use your ncb from another vehicle unless you only have the one vehicle now. When I insure my Kitcar, the insurances wouldn't let me use my ncb from my daily car so I had to start off fresh for that car and I presumed I would have to do same with mini

Most classic policies do not have a 'no claims' discount, so it won't affect your daily driver insurance.

Got mine at Carole Nash. 1275 with a few minor mods declared £140. Excellent service, unlike some of the other classic specialists I contacted (or failed to get through to in one case).

You should get it for less than £150 but it would be separate from your private car insurance and it's unlikely you will earn a no claims bonus from it, but it's cheap anyway!
