depends on what you want...... If you want a standard exhaust you can get a full standard fairly cheap but if you want an upgrade to a more sporty  one you will need new manifolds inlet and exhaust that doesn't foul the governor control.

minispares full stage 1 kit is a possibility ;-)

I haven't stage 1'd mine yet, but everyone i have asked say its OK as long as you don't mess with the governor control rod. stage 1 is exhaust, manifolds, air filter carb needle and spring, also haven't seen anywhere saying that standard auto exhaust manifold is different...

maybe some more information about your car?

is it carb or injection?

This is wrong! My girlfriends auto mini had a full maniflow system on a 998 then transferred into the 1275. Cooperfreeflow manifold. The kick down rod can be modified to work as the manifold hits or removed as we have done and just use the selector to change gear

I fitted one to my 1993 Sprite 1275 Auto, I just had to bend the kickdown rod out of the way a little, it works well with a Hif44 and a modded cylinder head, 0-60's down to about 11-12 seconds, not fast I know, but a vast improvement over standard...

my 998 as standard does 0-60 in about 10-12 seconds if you get the pedal pressure right
