Here we go...
 
This is the start of our build, I plan on doing full video and picture build.
 
This is not a BALLS OUT power or speed conversion, its more for Drivability and economy V Cost.
 
We will be fitting at VW 1.4 MPI from a Seat Ibiza in using a metro front frame, the car will then use metro offset wheels 14 or 15 inch is the plan

Dont get me started on the ******* abortion done to the bulkhead, I will be fixing that later in the build, some people really should step away from cars when they get an idea!

Saturday

 

So, the sun was out today so i thought i would pop over to the unit this afternoon and whip the engine out the seat...
 
here we are at 1.30pm

I decided to leave the mini on the ramp so did this outside, faced with crawling around on the ground i got jaffa in to do some lifting

FIRST MILESTONE REACHED
 
Engine will fit, project is 100% going forward with this engine, I explain more in the video below

I dont think so, and evening (read a week), Going to slide a tube from shock to shock top for strength, cut out the **** and weld in nice flat plate and smooth accordingly. Tempted to single peace the whole width to make it all look nice and go for the smooth engine bay look

Interesting conversion, but why the plan for 15's?

 

Are you planning to build the frame in such a way that if you wanted to fit either the later 16v versions or the G40 lump it would be a simple swap
