Basically moving the wheels in. I would like to use 10x6 wheels but don't want to use arches so was thinking/hoping to pull the wheels in to the car more

Translation:
Could I narrow my rear subframe and modify the front arms to get the tucked look?

It's a popular modification with Beetles, which have torsion bar front suspension and rear suspension, which are totally different to a mini. A mini has proper, working suspension. You could chop it all up to make it look like a beetle, or you could get negative camber front and rear suspension kits and use narrow wheels and brake drums. It's never going to tuck the wheels like a beetle, because there just isn't that much room in the guards.

Mine is purple, but I have been told that's normal

The dampers would all end up at the wrong angle and catch on the wheel potentially on the back

Not advised as it would spoil a nice Mini. Use 4.5" wheels and there is no need for wheel arch extensions.

Thanks guys I'm still toying with the idea in my head I don't don't think the rear would be to hard to do. Don't get me wrong alot of work. It would be the front that will put a spanner in the idea. Thanks again guys.

it's the front your going to struggle with

you can't make the subframe much narrower because the engine sits inside it

I know it a pain in my head. I really want the tucked look on my pickup. Probably only need to move the wheels in by about 2inchs

It would look most odd IMHO. One heck of a lot of work for no actual gain.

I can't see how the front hub datum faces can be moved inwards together with the damper mountings and all the other stuff.

On the rear the dampers would need to move inwards and the damper top mountings likewise, at which point they would hit the fuel tank(s).

Once done it would be devalued by a substantial amount as a classic Mini Pick-Up and that would be a pity as later on someone would probably have to put it back to standard.

My gawd, that looks absolutely horrible. Why on Earth would someone ruin a perfectly good VW Beetle by doing that to it?
