It has a picture of a pedal on it, next to the hazard lights switch.
Is it something to do with the brakes, or clutch or fluid for both?

WOW! It's been ages since this came up.

Don't think of it as a switch, it's your car's low brake fluid warning light. Cars have to be fitted with them, and there has to be a bulb test function because it's a safety item. Current cars use the handbrake warning as the bulb test. In the '70s when these things were new and there was no 'normal' way to design them a few manufacturers decided to do it by having a specific bulb test switch as you do in aircraft systems. That's what this is, pressing the switch tests the bulb in the switch and nothing more. The lamp should also light if you lift the cap off the brake fluid reservoir (unless your car is really old in which case it lights up if one brake circuit loses pressure compared to the other, there is no real easy way to test this type properly). If it does both these things it works, if it then lights up by itself at any time you need to check your brakes urgently.

Congratulations! You are the first 'What switch is this?' thread holder of 2014!

But yes, Dan explains it very well.

The search tool is an amazing thing you know.

Its the kill switch.

Kills your passenger.

Very useful if he/she s making odd noises on tight bends.

Most of the time it's the "she"

How can your mini travel through such deep water and still run? Most people would get water in the distributor, even with the shield kit with this amount of water near the grill.
