I have silica bags in the rear bins, and I don't get too much condensation (and I have a big leak in the car!)

AVV IT, I don't fancy spending the money on one of them things. If the dehumidifier bags prove to be useless, then I may consider one. There is one on argos for £50. Good ol argos value range, my £5 toaster is still going strong! :P

I'm getting 2 of the dehumidifier bags, and seeing as the last link is quite cheap, I might buy a 4 pack of them too. Some rose ones :D

Buying some of these now, what do I do with it when they're full of water? Throw away or empty of water? Rather happy buying a 4 pack is cheaper than buying a 1 pack with 2 quantity

You just empty it out and replace the crystals, there cheap to buy.

No need to place them in the oven.

to be honest I dont use the silca balls you can see in the advert but the airmax crystals instead as i find them more effective, they are the same bags as show in this other ad:

I get these 'refill' bags at a local store for cheaper and allow you to refill the box a few times before you run out of crystals.

IF  the car definitely isnt leaking, it could be that youre jumping in it with damp clothes, have the heater on, windows closed, and as you wrestle with the stearing wheel through the twisty bits on the way home, your pulse rate increases, youre breathing hard, beginning to perspire.....  (even when youre asleep you produce a fair bit of misture).   One way or another the moisture content inside increases, then as the air temp cools down over night (cold air holds less water than warm air) it then condenses on any cold surfaces.  Try having the window open on the last bit if not all the journey, fresh air / air flow is the best way to deal with condensation.

not tried the small dehumidifiers in the car but they work wonders in the wire compartment of the welder!

I find that a single one sort of works but struggles, if you buy 4 I'd put all 4 in so you have the biggest surface area, they seem to last a while.

Oh and make sure that you've got maximum ventilation, by ensuring that the both air vents at the end of your dash are fully open. It's also worth checking that the fresh air intake duct for your heater is actualy connected at both ends, and that your heater isn't just recirculating the damp air inside the car. Also check the condition of the fresh air intake duct under the o/s wing too. These often split, or are just missing completely, meaning that your heater takes in damp air that's full of road spray from under the wing!

Cat litter in a small bucket (kids holiday/ beach bucket is ideal). Leave it in for a few days then put it in the airing cupboard or the oven on its LOWEST setting for a while to dry out, then repeat.

Or the cheap clay sort of cat litter and the legs from a pair of tights, then leave on a radiator once a week to dry back out and reuse.
