Afternoon,

I'm looking far a mechanic in the greater Manchester area (ideally city centre) to have a look at my mini.

I have previously used a guy based out in Warrington, but he no longer has the space to do the engine work I'm  probably going to need.

It doesn't need to be a specialist, or even a professional, but will need to be able to do engine work, as its at that point my DIY skills run out

Have recently had a 1275 installed in my 1989 Mayfair, but following a burst bypass hose on the M61 it got seriously hot and damaged one of the pistons in the process. My mechanic in Warrington has had the head of, replaced the hose and had the head skimmed (plus other work that was due anyway). The car drove fine after this, with no obvious engine issues/

However, a few weeks after getting the car back, i went out to it in the morning to find it appearing to be running on 3 cylinders. due to work commitments I've been unable to do much checking as to the cause (presumably related to said overheating), hence the need for someone local to take a look.

Can anyone recommend/volunteer a local mechanic/garage?

Cheers,

:gimme:
